Aloha,
While planning one of the most important days of your life, you will feel more comfortable knowing the person you have chosen to help you create EXACTLY what you want for your Wedding day. This is such a FUN and SPECIAL day and not to be taken lightly. If you are coming to Hawaii to be married, it is most likely because you want SIMPLE, NO STRESS, yet a very HEARTFELT and MEANINGFUL experience!! I will provide for you EXACTLY what YOU want! Whether it be barefoot in the sand, hearing the sounds of the crashing waves or the wind blowing through the palm trees, I can provide all this for you. In addition, I can enhance your ceremony with the sounds of a Hawaiian musician singing beautiful Hawaiian love songs or the soft music of a Harpist sounding like angels. I can even provide white doves to be released at the end of the ceremony!

Now let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Cheryl Pascual and I moved to the islands in 1966 from Los Angeles. I had gone to college for 2 years and upon returning, my folks asked me if I wanted to go back to college or move to Hawaii. At 20 years old it was NOT a hard decision!! Waikiki in the 1960’s was quite incredible. The Vietnam War was happening and I was working in the International Market Place at an ice cream & sandwich shop! The entire middle of the Market Place was all grass and they used to show ‘surfing’ movies every night. I made friends with many of the military guys visiting Hawaii on R&R and would take them home for a delicious home cooked meal by mom!! They loved it!!

In 1969, I started flying for Aloha Airlines and got to ktnow all the islands much better. It was actually in 1969 that the ‘Jet 737’ was introduced! I was still flying the Vicount 4-engine plane, which seated only 47 people and had only one flight attendant! SO very different than from today of course!
Wanting to travel, I left the islands for a few years in the 70's and lived in Europe for a year. Then I lived in Sun Valley Idaho for a couple winters to ski, then in ’76, Australia for a year. It was all wonderful but kept returning to my beloved islands. In 1980 while working at the Moana Hotel on Waikiki Beach, I met "Pas". He was from the Big Island and we fell very much in love and moved back "home" to the Big Island in 1982. We were married on the 4th of July 1986 and have had a wonderful life living here. We raised 2 children, the "Hanai" way (Hawaiian-style adoption) and have always had many animals.
The kids are gone but we now have 7 dogs, 4 horses and enjoy our animals very much.
"Pas" is a "Paniolo” - (a Hawaiian cowboy) during the day, training horses and rustling cattle and has earned the name ‘THE HAWAIIAN WHISPER’!! At night he is a Hawaiian musician, entertaining guests at the beautiful Mauna Lani Resort!
I have been in the wedding business since 1989 and became an ordained minister in 1995. I have been so very fortunate to have found a profession I LOVE! Meeting, marrying and becoming close to so many wonderful couples is the ULTIMATE. I absolutely LOVE to help each couple create just what they want for their wedding day and then also, to help them to plan what to see and do on our beautiful island.
I am extremely FLEXIBLE and EASY to work with! My ceremony provides the following:
The Lei Exchange....... 2 beautiful Tuberose leis
The Rose Exchange.. 2 long stem Red Roses
A framed Hawaiian Certificate of Marriage.
A printed copy of the ceremony.
I use some Hawaiian in my ceremony and suggestions on "keeping the MAGIC alive in your marriage" If you want to write your own vows, have spiritual readings or scriptures read, that is just perfect! If not, then I do my vows for you. The main thing is to have it EXACTLY as YOU both want it and to hand over all the stress to me. I will make your wedding experience fun, relaxed and stress-free! It will be a fun, memorable, meaningful, heartfelt, romantic day that you will hold close to your hearts FOREVER!!!
Hopefully this has helped you to know who I am better, and I am here to answer any questions or do whatever I can for you.
Mahalo and Aloha,
Cheryl
