Aloha Cheryl,

We can't begin to tell you how wonderful our ceremony was.  Wow!   It was truly  a special day for us and we are so happy that you were our minister, you made our dream wedding come true in paradise.  Your ceremony was so special and was filled with lots of aloha spirit, just what we had hoped for.
You made our day so magical - we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts - this is one day that will stay with us in our hearts for our entire lives...

We will be back to visit A-bay at sunset, 5 years from now, I hope that we will run into you again!  You are a wonderful and special lady to us...
Mahalo for all of your Aloha!!
Bridgett and Josh

Aloha Cheryl ~
We just wanted to thank you so much for everything you have done for us. Our family and friends love you... as do we!! You did such a beautiful job and made us feel at home. You went above and beyond! Cheryl, you are truly one in a million.
I had contacted a lot of wedding coordinators and searched for Reverends via the internet. Rev. Cheryl was the first to contact me by phone. I knew my search was over after speaking with her. She really got to know both our personalities and likes, we even share a few. She did it all, she set up the marriage license appointment, arranged the location, every detail was done and put my mind at ease.
When you plan your perfect day you have a vision of how everything should be, the ceremony Cheryl provided for us far exceeded anything we could have ever imagined.
Mahalo for memories that will last a lifetime,
Love,
Sunny & Sandi Hildebrand

Dear Cheryl,

Our experience with Cheryl was nothing but great.  She helped us plan our wedding from the start.  We had a long standing correspondence with her through e-mail and she always took the time to answer our questions and help with anything we needed.  She arranged for a great photographer and a person to do make-up and hair, both of whom were excellent and very professional.  Because of all her help with our long planning, the wedding day turned out to go very smoothly and everyone had a great time.  The wedding site that she helped choose was just extremely beautiful.  Cheryl helped all of our guests feel very welcome, even those that could not speak English.  Everyone was pleased with her and the whole ceremony was beautiful and definitely a day we will never forget.  Thank you so much for making this memory possible, it could not have happened without you.

Love, Jude and Mayuko Ross

Sincerely,

Jude and Mayuko

Aloha Cheryl

I did a ton of research to prepare for our second honeymoon and finding someone to perform the vow renewal (for our 15th anniversary) was such a frustrating experience at first. So many places had their focus on an elaborate ceremony meant for a wedding of colossal proportion (with a pricetag to match), when all we wanted was a simple, beautiful ceremony on the beach at sunset. The search was over when Cheryl called me on the phone-asking if I had received the free brochure from Aloha Weddings in Paradise that I got in the mail just days after requesting it. Within a few minutes, she felt like ohana (family)-like I'd known her my whole life. Through several phone calls, we chatted for about 4 hours! It's not that we had too many details to work out, she just really spent time getting to know me and learn about what was important to us about the ceremony.

What makes Cheryl so unique is she includes all the little romantic touches that you can't find anywhere else. From the rose petal heart in the sand, to the rose petal shower at the end, to taking pictures for us (since we didn't want to spend tons of money on a photographer), and even the offer to play music for us during the ceremony (hawaiian music from a boombox!) -it was all about making the day unforgettable for us. In the end we all had a blast throwing the rose petals at each other. Cheryl brought a pretty tablecloth and some crystal glasses for us to enjoy a bottle of Aussie red wine that Peter brought for the occasion.

She even made me realize that it was worth spending the extra money on a haku head lei-a splurge meant to make me feel like a true bride. She put it on for me and also taught me how to carry the leis for the ceremony. She went one step further by (on one day's notice) providing a plumeria lei for our friend Peter, who surprised us by coming to the vow renewal ceremony all the way from Australia! She encouraged him to participate in the ceremony by having him join us in the rose petal heart in the sand (although he was the only one who wasn't barefoot!) When we were worried that the waves crashing would drown out our voices as we were videotaping with our camcorder on a tripod, her quick thinking saved the day-she just tucked the microphone in her dress and it worked perfectly!

She had suggestions of a couple beaches we could have the ceremony-with the idea that if we picked Holoholokai Beach Park we had the option of joining her at the Mauna Lani to hear her husband and others sing and watch the hula being performed. Because of the time of year we were there, we would miss the performance if we picked another place. We decided to check it out the day before and it was perfect for us. We spent some time enjoying cocktails and chatting, while listening to her husband, PAS, play and sing the "Hawaiian wedding song" for us,... then we had 9pm reservations at Canoe House (another winning suggestion from Cheryl). It was such a special day for us from start to finish because of the aloha spirit that Cheryl and her husband shared with us.

We fell in love with the Big Island and will be returning to Hawaii more than once-not just to visit, but to live there one day. I know we'll keep in touch with you over the years, and when we come back....we WILL find your house this time. I'll mail you prints of my favorite pics when I get them back. I already have the one of Greg and I under the palm tree in the wedding frame magnet you gave us after the ceremony and it's on the fridge to always remind us of our magical wedding in paradise.

If you have the time on Sunday-call me and let me know what you think of the pics and the "success story". I know you know this already, but it was so easy to write it because I meant every word. Aloha Weddings in Paradise no ka oui!

aloha nui, Lori and Greg Raudenbush ;-)

Aloha Cheryl,

We can't begin to express the beautiful wedding ceremony Cheryl provided for us. We contacted every Wedding Coordinator that could be found on the internet to try and find someone to marry us on the Big Island of Hawaii. This was not a first marriage for us and we just wanted something beautiful but very simple. We just wanted the two of us, married at sunset on the beach with a few pictures.

Everyone contacted couldn't provide that simplicity....until we reached Cheryl. From the
first phone conversation Cheryl made my heart soar and reassured me whatever we wanted is want she would provide. Cheryl the pictures for us, provided some music and performed the ceremeony.......she did it all.

Our wedding was more than just beautiful, it was refreshing to our spirits and truly heartfelt with a true personal touch to every message Cheryl relayed as she united us as husband and wife. There just aren't the right words to express the beauty of our wedding and the beauty of Cheryl's heart in performing such an important part of someone's lives. Cheryl is a true blessing!

I just received the other pictures back that you took on my camera....they are even more beautiful than the others. I will have them done on cd and forward you some of those too. They are absolutely beautiful.....many have said they look professional and like postcards!

You are a blessing Cheryl! Hope to hear from you again soon!

Cheryl, I just wanted to thank you for making our ten year anniversary one of the best times of our lives! And through helping me surprise my husband, we have built such a special friendship. For being a month after the attack on September 11th, it really meant alot to us to escape from it all.

Everything was perfect from the beautiful pictures by Thalia, the gorgeous rose petals, my haku and the rose exchange. I think you take each wedding you perform to heart and you truly have a way with people...I've seen it myself!! Thanks again for everything and we will definately be back before our fifteen year anniversary.

CLICK TO ENLARGE - Wedding of Steve and Melody Wyskocil We go to the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel every year for vacation. My wife and I had been looking for a special place to get married. We decided on the plane to see if we could get married at the Mauna Lani.

We met with Pinkie (on the right throwing rose petals) who arranges weddings for the hotel. We told her that we wanted to get married at Sunset, on the point, between the palm trees. She asked us if we "would mind" a female minister. We both said "No Problem" so she told us about Cheryl, who she often uses to conduct weddings at the hotel.

We met Cheryl just a short time before the ceremony and instantly had a rapport with her. Melody found out that she and Cheryl had been born in the same hospital and had gone to school within miles of each other.

We had a big laugh as we tried to decide whether we should wear shoes or not...well they laughed as I took mine off, then put them on, then finally took them off!

It was a beautiful ceremony. We were all crying! We turned around at the end of the ceremony to walk towards the sunset and Pinkie and Pas (Cheryl's husband) threw Rose Petals...what a surprise!

As we turned around, we saw many of the balconies full of vacationers applauding us! We went into the atrium at the Mauna Lani to hear Pas sing and watch the hula dancer and they played the Hawaiian Wedding Song for us and we had our first dance.

We have become fast friends with Cheryl and Pas and always spend time with them when we come to the Big Island.

Our wedding was perfect...simple...elegant...and just for us! We look back on this photograph of us with much love for Cheryl, Pas and Pinkie and thank them for making our wedding day so special and romantic.

Wysky (Steve Wyskocil)

"When we traveled to the Big Island of Hawaii (from Cleveland, Ohio), we knew there were many things we wanted to see and do. We wanted to see the beauty of the island, and spend a lot of time together with each other. Out of all of the beautiful things we experienced on the Island, our favorite part of our vacation was having Cheryl renew our wedding vows on the beach at sunset."

"Cheryl went out of her way to make the small private ceremony quiet and special for us. Not only did she make the ceremony special, but afterwards she even took a ton of pictures for us so we could always remember our special night. Out of all of the pictures Cheryl took for us, this picture is our favorite. Being together with each other during a sunset, barefoot, in the warm air now that is definitely how Hawaii should be experienced."

"Dear Rev. Cheryl,"

"We wanted to write and thank you again so much for giving us such a beautiful wedding ceremony especially on so short of a notice! You made everything so special from your first big hello hug when we first met, to your congratulating hug after the ceremony. We will never forget all the special touches you provided and your wonderful words of wisdom. And guess what, our pictures turned out beautifully. You did a great job! Thanks again for making our special day one we will never forget."

Aloha Tommy & Nina Catlim

"Dear Cheryl,"

"My husband and I wanted to take a moment to tell you how thankful we are for all that you did to make our special day even more special. All of the details, no matter how small, were thoughtful and romantic. The rose petals shaped like a heart for us to stand in for our vows, the red roses were exchanged and the rose petals showed on us after the ceremony were just a few of the many things that made it our dream wedding. We look through our wedding album often and talk about how happy we are that we chose you to share our wedding day with us. We feel that you were more than someone who was just doing her job, you shared in our joy and excitement with sincerity."

"We were surprised to get a letter from you when we got home that had pictures of us you had taken yourself and a very nice note wishing us love and happiness in our marriage."

"That gesture shows that you genuinely love what you do and you care about each couple. Our thanks to you for our special day!"

All of our love, Bruce and Tawnya Glenn

"Dear Cheryl and Pas,"

"Thank you so very much for making our dream (of a tropical wedding) come true! Pas, we loved your authentic Hawaiian music. My whole family was so moved by your songs, "

"Next time we visit Hawaii, we plan to hear you play at one of the big hotels. Cheryl, your ceremony was so genuine, and you covered some important aspects of marriage. All my friends and family enjoyed your presentation. (Even my brother was quite touched by your words of wisdom!) We've enclosed some of Henry's beautiful work - we were so impressed with his photography! Thank you for helping us create such special memories. Stay in touch with us!"
